Heh. I solved your issue after running a javascript & css profile through chrome dev tools. Well at least I know now why it happens. Here I explain the issue https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKU0xwd2FXYlZudlE/edit?usp=sharing

Here is the CSS i reflect upon (you can add it to get the effect I show in the video.

#ProductWrapper {
width: 1000px;
height: 485px;
left: 200px;
overflow: visible;
}

Thanks,

What's interesting is that the second slide show is now on the bottom somewhere.

Hi,

Actually I do. Try this. I did, and it stopped the flickering of the layer below.

#top #nav_overlay {
background-color: white !important; /*you have 0.8 opacity */
}

Right now you have this 0.8 opacity on the html below forced by jquery somewhere so need ! important or it won't override it

<section id="nav_overlay" style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); display: none; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"></section>

The vertical strike-through line that separates the right and left bottle slider in the menu stil flickers for a second, but the background remains solid.

Thanks,

Hi, I've tried your css but it doesn't change anything for me...
Thus, it's not beautiful to see a small button with an huge height like that !
You don't have any other solution ?
Thx

Hi,

Right now both errors are gone. Good job! Though I see you don't want to use my css , so the problem with the flickering remains.

Hi,

You can try, I am not sure offhand. This error is not present normally so its likely something to do with the jqeury you've added. Try to deactivate the products and reacteviate them one by one till you see who is responsible, then try to find a substitute plugin for the buggy one.

Thanks,

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply !
How do you see the error on aviapoly2.js on line 1752 ?
I couldn't manage to localize it !

But I modified the file with " if(!controls['prev'].length > 0) return;"
Is that good ?

Hi,

Ah! That explains it, because I was looking at the link from your name and trying to figure out if under all those modifications there is something left of the Choices theme. :)

---------------------

I would update to latest version of Wordpress and I am not sure what version of Choices you are using, but please check if there are updates available for it on themeforest.net

-------------

I am getting an error before cocktail here, http://massenez.com/en/ , with aviapoly2.js on line 1752 that looks like

if(!controls['prev'].length) return;

error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

This would fix it up -> http://css-tricks.com/snippets/jquery/check-if-element-exists/

----------

on cocktail page ( ) i am getting error on line 1 of iscroll.js Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'style' of null

This is what I see https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKRTB3aEZlSVRaclU/edit?usp=sharing (video) on Chrome Win7. I see top menu bar, then menu bar gone, then splash screen, splash screen gone, then menu bar appear again, then second menu bar below first one.

I am sorry but IMO this is outside the scope of the support team, since you have so much custom js in there that its hard to say what's going on. I would trace in Chrome dev tools the entire loading of the page sequence to see what''s going on in there , if i understood correctly what your concerns are.

2) If you mean that flickering when you put mouse over products and the bottles start scrolling that shows the layer under it semi-transparent for a second when mouse goes down, i was able to get rid of it by adding this css https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKejVEYzh0N1VZLU0/edit?usp=sharing

#top .dl-brochure {
height: 100% !important;
}

Thanks,

Hi,

I am sorry. Cocktail? Is that the theme you are using? Not sure if msz.js is heavy, but that 170k sprite you are using could lose 100k easily with some compression.

Hi,
01. On my home page, titles in the main menu bar are displaying with a little delay (with the .each() function) but would you know why there's a little waiting just after "The Cocktail" section ? It seems like my msz.js files is a bit heavy... no ?

02. Would you have an issue for my dropdown menus (when hovering "cocktails" and "products" sections) because when I do a quick	backwards and forwards movement on the dropdown area limit I just see a blank div... Is this because of the .stop() function somewhere ?

Thank you very much

I deleted my cookies and catches and still nothing. I have a page that I am selling a product from a category so I made a page with a dynamic template to show only that category. Still, it goes through without the need to set a password. I also made sure that i selected the second line of text was what I changed it too as well.

Hi,

Dude's code works for me. What are the elements of your template?

Please try clearing all cookies and cache or use a different browser because the first time around I tested it without the template and entered a password, so when I added the template for the second test, at first it didn't show the password field, but once I cleared the cookies, the password field showed up again.

Also when switching between the code window and Dude's pasted code make sure you are grabbing the second block of code and not the first (another mistake I frequently made).

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to password protect pages with a dynamic template in them. I can add a password to the page but when I go onto that page, it goes through and does not really block anything. I have a client that is selling photos and he needs to be able to add passwords to pages for his pictures he is selling. Any help would be great for this, thank you so much. Also, I am using the Abundance theme as well. Thanks!

Hi qaidj,

If you only want to hide it on certain pages, you could just add that page to the css selector. Something like:

#top.page-id-31 .post-meta-infos {
display: none;
}

Where the page ID number is the specific one for your page.

Regards,

Making my way through a customization of this great theme, I've come upon this question:
How can I hide the post-meta-infos div only for posts of specific categories?

Thanks to anyone offering their time and insight.

The way the Template builder works, I am able to use post content in some of my page-like presentations, but I don't want the post-meta-infos showing on those presentations because they're not appropriate. I could simply hide it in the CSS (my interim solution), but there are some posts that I DO want to have the meta shown on (like a regular blog post).

Thanks again for any help.

I'm using Abundance with a need to temporarily disable the shopping cart area. This is a legal issue, because my client, at the moment, is not permitted by the licensor to sell online. So I need to disable the navigation links that appear in the top blue area. Eventually they will be able to be activated, but not now.

To be clear, this is the group that goes "My Account | Shopping Cart | Checkout".

I saw a thread here where they could be hidden by setting various CSS classes to display:none but that won't really work for a couple of reasons. First, the links still show up in IE (to make matters worse, my client uses IE). Secondly, even when they don't show, the list tags still exist and thus there is still space used up. This adds additional space under the logo/search bar that is annoying, and my client wants it gone.

I found where these seem to be created in the js/avia.js file but it appears to handle all the megaMenu stuff in one place. I'm worried that if I mess with this I'll break the entire menu. I just need to disable where this specific list for those three items gets built. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hey,
We can't use WPs automatic update system at the moment and Envato/Themeforest doesn't offer a notification service. However maybe we can look into solutions like newsletters, etc.

Dude... Upgrade done.

Is there a way to sign up for automatic notification about CleanCut upgrades? Themeforest didn't seem to say what the version was that was available for download. I can check back to this forum, but it would be nice if it was easier.

It seems to be a wrong file path - cufon.js is located in the js folder ( js/cufon.js ). I think Kriesi mixed up the upgrade instructions for Avisio with the CleanCut instructions (the frameworks are very similiar though). It's ok to replace the version number only :)

Dude,

Quick question. The deed is ALMOST done.

In the files below from the rtf doc, I believe I only needed to do 5 replacements, Three files and two folders. I assume the file js/custom.js and style.css from the Ver. 1.2.1, I has all the past 1.2 upgrades. Right?

The others are two replacement files and two folders.

I could not find the file: framework/fonts/cufon.js in the upgrade package, so I was not able to make that improvement. There was no framework/fonts/ folder?

Instead of replacing style.css I just edited the server version to indicate the 1.2.1 update. Is that sufficient?
------------------------------------------
Version 1.2.1 File Updates:

REPLACED: file: js/custom.js fixes a IE 9 issue with preloading images

COULD NOT FIND: file: framework/fonts/cufon.js fixes a IE9 issue with font displaying

EDITED VER NUMBER ON SERVER:: file:style.css: version number

-----------------------------------
Version 1.2 File Updates:

file: style.css: changed version number

file: js/custom.js changed plugin aviaslider to fix internet explorer "white dots bug"

file: js/custom.js changed function my_lightbox to guarantee jquery 1.5 compatibility

REPLACED: folder: js/prettyphoto: updated prettyphoto to latest version for wordpress 3.1 compatibility

REPLACED: folder: framework/shortcodes/ improved various shortcodes
