Hi snowtone,

Yes, in the folder that the theme came in there is a documentation folder with a link to: http://docs.kriesi.at/replete/documentation/index.html as well as the same files in a single folder for offline use.

As for the slider split, not without customizing the actual theme files. You could use columns to fake that kind of thing but it would be static content and not dynamic like the product elements.

Regards,

Thanks, I was able to get a post to show up, but it's hacked with CSS, and won't work long-term, and won't validate with W3C.

Is there a place to find documentation for the Replete theme?

And, is there a way to make the shop-product slider divide with a widget area on the right?

I cannot find a way in the template builder, or within the frontpage to add a widget area, or at least a div for some static content to the right of the product slider.

I've managed to restrict the product slider to the left 66% of the page, but I am unable to access the right 33% for content. I've attached a screen shot with a red box around the area that I would like to add a widget or static content to. Here is the URL for the page:
http://www.ruizdentalseminars.com

When viewing the template for the one page portfolio, you can use the dropdown above the area to select a column element and then hit the button next to the selection. It will be added to the bottom of the whole thing and then be dragged to wherever you want it to appear.

You can add a column element to the bottom of that page section and then add the widget into one of the columns inside that element (once you've made one of the columns a widget accepting area)

Yes, in that case it isn't possible to do so in the way you are describing. You can make a page area encompass a column element with a widget area and the about page content but you can't just add a widget to a page.

Hi Devin

Yes, I am using a one page portfolio, but I wanted to add the widget to the bottom of a post. Not to add a new column. I understood that was what it did.
In my case I am using the Facebook plugin and that gives you the option of adding their widgets. I wanted to add a certain Facebook widget to the About me page in the OnePage portfolio.

Here is my website ... http://petdocmartin.co.uk/

Hi mcdragon,

Is this with the one page portfolio layout? If so, it doesn't support adding additional columns/widget areas to pages within the one page layout. You'll need to add all content to through the One Page Portfolio builder in the theme options.

So adding a Columns element and making part of it page/post content and the other widget area would work.

Regards,

Hi

I wanted to add some specific content on one of my pages through a widget. Added the option on the Coalition Theme Options to show a widget area on one of the pages. Saved. This area then appeared on the Appearance - Widgets page. I added a widget but nothing happens on the page where it should. Tried a different page and tried different widgets I have available.

Am I missing something?

I had exactly the same problem.
I found out it was caused by the general wordpress settings (i'm using a dutch version, so I'm not sure what the translations are in the english version)

settings > read
homepage shows : a static page --> select your HOME page

I had this to 'latest posts' and when I switched it to 'static page' it worked like a charm.

Under the Theme-options > Sidebar you're able to create an extra widget area for a page and / or category.
I need a specific sidebar on the frontpage.
So I created one for the page I had set as Home (Theme options > Frontpage settings). But that doesn't seem to work on the homepage. (It does work when you explicitly navigate to that page, by entering the full url site.com/my-home-page, but not the default Home page site.com/)

Is this a bug or did I oversee something, or must I take another approach?

Hi Brent,

I'm not sure I follow you entirely. How did you create the new menu widget? What code did you use?

Regards,

Hello,

Just edit the dashes-hor.png on images > skin-minimal folder. Make it a solid colored line. :)

Greetings,

How can we turn the default dotted lines in the side-bar area solid please?

See this page, for example:
