Hi Marylise,

It sounds like you probably need to update the theme to the most recent version. Just go to your Downloads on Themeforest and re-download the theme. Then you can install the update in the same way you first installed the theme.

If you have made any changes to the theme files themselves, you'll need to back those up so that you can re-apply them after the update.

Regards,

Hi coopernico46,

Before doing any upgrade, make sure to backup the database first. You can use this as reference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

If you have done any modifications on your theme files like custom.css or functions.php kindly backup those files also.

On updating the theme, please refer to this thread (this one is using abundance, but the same process can also be used in flashlight): http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-update-theme

Hope this helps. :)

Hey!

Tbh I'm not sure if Flashlight 1.7 is compatible with WP3.5. In the worst case you need to update your theme to the latest version which is Flashlight 1.9 - it's definitely compatible with WP3.5.

Best regards,

I don't think that is related. I have no issues uploading images running a clean wordpress 3.5 and Flagship 1.3.

At this point you may want to try once again disabling all active plugins, switching to the twenty twelve them and then re-uploading the Flagship theme after downloading it from Themeforest.

Then re-activate the theme with the newly updated files.

I just found something which sounds pretty similar to my problem:

DeliciousThemes AUTHOR 20 days ago
Hi,
Thank you for letting me know. I`m aware that the new WordPress 3.5 brings with it some changes in functionality, therefore, any theme built before it can get broken.
Anyway, until I submit a theme update on Themeforest, here`s a quick fix to the problem related to uploading images>
The thing which is causing the issue is “Date” field from “Portfolio” item page. To fix it, open “functions/meta/class-usage.php” and locate line 35:
$portfolio_meta->addDate($prefix.'portfolio_date',array('name'=> 'Date '));
Change “addDate” with “addText”.
The new line should look like:
$portfolio_meta->addDate($prefix.'portfolio_date',array('name'=> 'Date '));
Now you should be able to upload images for portfolio items.

You may need to have your server memory increased. First contact your host and see if they can assist you with increasing your sites allocated memory.

You may also need to increase the limit in wordpress config file as well.

You should be able to use the "featured media" option field. Go to the product editor page and scroll to the "Featured media - add any number of images and/or videos" field. Click on the "Add Image to slideshow" button and set one or more images. The first slideshow image will also be set/used as "featured image/post thumbnail".

Hi there, I have just updated to wordpress 3.5 and found that I am no longer able to create my product pages in the way I had been doing previously.

Because of the layout I wanted, I was not using the featured image box provided with the theme. Instead when I wanted to insert a featured image in a wordpress page or product page, I hit the image insert icon, chose the image and then had the option to use the image as a featured image, before additionally inserting it into the post.

This is the way I created all 250 of my product pages.

With the new version of wordpress which I installed today, this feature is no longer available from within the image insertion box. The only option is to insert the image into the page. Although there is a box that states you can click it to exclude the image from the product image gallery (which I assumed would be the product overview page), NOT clicking this box does not result in the image appearing as featured.
So although I can create product pages, I have no way of getting the images into the shop overview page!

This is a real problem. Any ideas how to resolve it?
Susan

This issue is caused by a small syntax error in wp-content/themes/broadscope/framework/js/avia_option_pages.js - open up the file and replace:

$('.avia_header .avia_button_inactive, .avia_footer .avia_button_inactive, ').removeClass('avia_button_inactive');

with:

$('.avia_header .avia_button_inactive, .avia_footer .avia_button_inactive').removeClass('avia_button_inactive');

I'll mark this thread for Kriesi and ask him to include the fix in the next update.

Hi!
I've upgraded wordpress to 3.5 with broadscope theme(version 1.3) but the "save all changes" button is "greyed out" on the "theme options page". I have tested on two different servers with the same result. It doesen't help to inactivate the plugins either.

When I downgrade to 3.4.2 the problems disappear. Do you have any solution to this problem or any idea?
