I'd create a custom link/menu item in the menu manager (Appearance > Menus). Instead of a link url enter # .

2) I want "X" to hold a place on the menu, but I don't want it to be actual page. Specifically, I would like a visitor to the site to see X. I would like him/her to to be able to hover over X and see the options X1, X2, X3, X4. But I don't want him/her to click on X and have it go a page. Instead, I would like for him/her to choose one of the 4 sub items. Is this possible?

1) You should open light-skin.css in a text-editor, you can use notepad if you want to. Colors are defined by Hex Color Codes. After you've changed these codes you can re-upload your edited light-skin.css file and replace it, so the new file is hosted.

2) Do you want to have X just as text and not link to anything? Have you tried going in your Dashboard > Appearance > Menus and removing the link from X?

Hi,

1. "I want to darken the colors of the menu in the header of the site by playing with the colors in light-skin.css on line 44 through 56" - I found the css folder that comes with the theme. Do I manipulate the colors in this folder and then insert this into my editor? If so, how?.... I'm not sure how to get the new colors from folder to website...

2. In my menu, my second item (X) has 4 sub items (X1, X2, X3, X4). X acts as a landing page. Is there a way to use X as a place holder on the menu without being a landing page?

Thanks again!

Hi,

1) The code you were provided changes the font-size of the captions on images (in this case "Lactation Educator Counselor: 45 hours of Instruction", were you talking about a different part of the theme?

2) light-skin.css can be found in the css folder that comes with the theme.

3) This can be done by removing the URL of the image. (When selecting an image press "none" next to Link URL)

I hope this informed you enough :)

Hi,

I asked questions in another section and received these answers:

1.To enlarge the font on the bottom of my photo slider in the header portion of the site -
You can open style.css and adjust line 2012.
.boxed #featured .feature_excerpt{
padding: 20px 20px 38px 20px;
width:938px;
}
To:
.boxed #featured .feature_excerpt{
padding: 20px 20px 38px 20px;
width:938px;
font-size:16px;
}

2.) I want to darken the colors of the menu in the header of the site -

You can play with the colors in light-skin.css on line 44 through 56.
#top .avia_mega a{
color:#333; /*Color of the menu text*/
background:#ff0099; /*Color of the menu background when not hovered*/
}

#top .avia_mega>.current-menu-item >a, #top .avia_mega>li:hover>a{
background: #333;
color:#fff;
}

#top .avia_mega>li>a:hover, #top .avia_mega>li:hover>a, #top #wrap_all .avia_mega .open-mega-a{
background: #fff; /*BG when hovered*/
color:#333; /*color when hovered*/
}

My issues are:
1. To increase font size - no matter what # I input (I've tried 12, 16, 24, 36px) the font stays the same size which is smaller than I would like. Any other suggestions?
2. I want to darken the colors of the menu in the header of the site by playing with the colors in light-skin.css on line 44 through 56, but I have no idea where the light-skin.css is located.

and a new one:

3. How to I remove the "magnifying glass" effect from the photos on the site?

Thanks in advance! I really appreciate it!!
