that worked, thank you so much! i just added this to my custom.css

.featured_caption h5 {
margin-top:10px;
font-size: 10px;
font-style: italic;
}

and then used the
tag right in the descr field, et voila!

Hi,

You don't need to create a new class or add html tag on the caption, just add this on your custom.css

.featured_caption {
font-size: 12px;
font-style: italic;
}

.slideshow_inner_caption h1 {
font-size: 20px;
color: blue;
}

Regards,

hi there

i am trying to style some of my slider description text to refer to the image's source (a citation); i tried editing custom.css to create a new class:

.src {
font-size: 12px;
font-style: italic;
}

and then added:

North Vancouver Museum & Archives #11344.

right into the caption text field, but it still displays as the same size etc as the other text, so it seems that perhaps i need to dig deeper and have a new input filed with its unique styling to make this happen; please advise

thank you, jodi
