Hey!

In this case I think Nick is totally right. I include certain functionalities for the most popular services but I am not a fan of adding every feature under the sun to a theme. Adding a linkedin share button is a perfect feature to be added by a plugin. actually my latest themes also no longer come with the facebook and twitter share buttons as well :)

"Keep it simple" is the name of the game ;D

Hi,

I think the problem is that there are just too many regional social networks around the world and to add them all (as well as keep track of all changes to their api,) is pointless, as there are well cared for plugins whose only purpose is to do all that. The plugin will let you know that an update is available if a single social network changes their API without the need for a complete theme update.

A great WordPress theme should not restrict developers by including every known bell and whistle, but to provide a robust foundation/framework easily extendable by the thousands of free (and premium) WordPress plugins.

Just my opinion,

Thanks,

Nick

I'm not familiar with the LINKEDIN api. You can try to find a social button plugin here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ or (if you're familiar with the linkedin code) you can implement it into Kriesi's social media "framework" - it can be found in flagship\includes\helper-social-media.php after following code:

######################################################################
# CUSTOM FACEBOOK & Twitter BUTTON
######################################################################

I'll also tag this thread for Kriesi as a feature request.
