Hey,
I'd add following code to style.css:

#wrapper_featured_area .center {
    padding-bottom: 20px;
}

#wrapper_head .center {
    padding: 0 35px 120px;
}

I've done this - i.e. used a full banner (http://cutiecakesbakeshop.com/yummy/) but am having trouble with the wrapper below) please check out the link - I know I have to extend something, but don't know which css to change. Many thanks :)

can anybody pls give me full instructions for this:
You need to adjust the css controlling the header space to fit your full width banner in.

The advertising banner sits over the background image in the top header area, so if you put your new logo banner as a background image, the advertising one will be on top and will still work ok. You need to adjust the css controlling the header space to fit your full width banner in.

i have a question about the header. Right now i used the custom header area as provided in the theme and am displaying the logo there. (all static). I think it looks very bland and was thinking to make a custom header instead, like a full banner.
my question:
- is there any reason why changing the the header is a bad idea? Would it affect the site in any way? Browser displays etc?
- is it a bad idea to include an animated banner as header? some folks told me it's a bad idea.
- In case one would change the header and include an animated header banner, can one still display a functioning advertising banner ON TOP of the animated header banner. If yes, how?
