Hey,
as far as I know this is a limitation with the viewport on iphones/ipads and basically all other mobile devices: http://developer.apple.com/library/safari/#documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariWebContent/UsingtheViewport/UsingtheViewport.html

Because you don't know the screen resolution of a device it's not easily possible to "hardcode" the width. You can try to use the viewport meta tag (in header.php) like suggested here: http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?363331-How-to-get-100-footer-at-an-ipad-or-iphone

Hello.

The background image on our site shrinks on mobile devices showing the body colour behind it.

On Safari and other browsers on a desktop the image is full size and scrolls correctly, on mobile Safari on the iPad and iPhone however it does not. I have attached an image to show the issue.

Can anyone suggest a fix to get this to work correctly?

Many thanks.
