You'll need to install the theme via FTP in that case. It just means your server is set up so that the wordpress install isn't able to write over the theme folder that is already there.

Hi Devin,

I re-downloaded the new version 1.4 and then re-installed as per normal, but the message came back that the install failed because 'the destination folder already exists'. When I check for what kind of theme I have, it still says that it's broadscope 1.1.5

is this OK?

thanks!!

Hi fatimastarr,

Broadscope is currently on version 1.4 which is available from your downloads on Themeforest. You can just re-download the theme files again and then install the theme just like you first installed it which will overwrite the old theme files.

If you made any changes to the theme files themselves, you'll need to back those up locally so they can be re-applied manually after.

This should address the issues and also some of the other bug fixes that have have been addressed in the versions since 1.1.5.

Regards,

Devin

I am on Broadscope Theme 1.1.5 on WP 3.5.1. My entire site recently went blank, with my developer saying that the error was due to theme using a piece of code that doesn't exist anymore in PHP 5.4 :

He's fixed the issue by commening out the line (192) and now the site loads, but will be there be an effect on the theme, or is there some updated version we should be aware of?

Thanks
