If you want to create a shop + a portfolio I'd rather use "Propulsion" because it offers a portfolio post type too. Otherwise you can use Abundance with: http://www.woothemes.com/extension/catalog-visibility-options/ (the extension turns WooCommerce into a showcase).

hello Tina :)

Thank you very much for answering my query :). Yeah disabling woocommece would definitely make it a site, we wanted to use it for. Let's also see what solution the kriesi's team will give us :). Hope a posibility within Abundance would make it happen :)

And My best Regards to you too

You can disable the Woocommerce plugin and have a regular site. However, I don't see any portfolio configuration on the back end.

There was a Woocommerce extension that allowed you to disabled the store so to speak but I can't find it. There must be a reason they took it down. Anyway, it would allow you to showcase the product but eliminate the add to cart buttons, cart, and checkout.

Best Regards,

Tina
