You would need to create a dynamic template (which contains a slideshow element + page/post content element) and apply it to all pages/posts which should display the slideshow.

Yay! thank you! This made my day. So what you are saying is, Don't set a blog page in the Options Panel if you want to use a dynamic template. ?

OK, now how do I get that same slideshow or photo to show up on EVERY blog page? (user had wordpress.com and likes their blog format...)

Thank you Dude.  :)
I DID create a dynamic template called BlogPage with a slideshow and blog element. I also have assigned that template to the blog page.

then on the Page called Blog

Layout
Overwrite default Post Layout

You may overwrite the default layout you have set in your wordpress Theme Settings
Dynamic Template

Select a dynamic template for this entry. If you haven't created one yet you can do so at the Template Builder
BlogPage

still, nada. I added all sorts of elements, not just a slideshow, just to see what would happen. No change.

Hey,
as far as I know blog pages don't support slideshows directly but you can build a dynamic template (Propulsion > Template Builder) which contains a slideshow element and a blog element. Then assign this template to your "blog" page.

You could add a border to the tabs. Add following code to css/custom.css and adjust the color, etc. values:

.js_active .tab, .js_active .tab_content {
    border: 1px solid #eee;
}

G'day!

I can NOT get a slideshow to show up on the top of the main Blog Page (and subsequent blog pages), and I cannot get rid of the search box on that blog page. I cannot find anything in the docs. Can you point me in the right direction? (new to wordpress as of your great theme)

I also need tabs that are a bit more defined, a decoder ring for that would be useful as well.
