Hi dashmanskas,

Are you "Event Details" a type of blog post? Perhaps you can provide a link to the site so we can get a better idea of what you are talking about.

The issue I see is if you are referring to posts and pages as the same thing (they are not).

Regards,

Devin

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/change-default-template-for-pages-all-event-details-to-a-fullwidth-page

Dude, i'm very sorry. I allowed this thread (above) to be closed before double checking if it worked. You solved Problem 2. (all new Pages created are now full-width.

Unfortunately, Problem 1 is still not solved for existing Events or new Events.

Recap of Problem 1: I want all Event Detail pages to be a Fullwidth Page -- by default. In other words, remove the sidebar entirely for the Event Details page. I currently see the Event Details page with a sidebar that contains my site's default Blog sidebar widgets.

(I guess this means the Events are using the Blog template.)

The reason I want all Event Detail pages to be a Fullwidth Page is because all of my site's blog posts will require a Username and password to view and to post using the WP-Members plugin.

The problem I am having now is that my calendar "Events" in Velvet all appear to be using the blog template, which causes them to be password protected, which I do not want. I want Events to be public.

I only want my my blog posts to be password protected. So, my solution is to make all calendar Events to use the default "Full-Page" template. (Plus, I really don't want the sidebar in my Events pages, anyway).
