&#60;p&#62;The wp_options table should be used exactly for this. WordPress best practices tell us that before creating extra database tables we should always use the wp_options table :)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;And believe me, adding 10, 20 or even 30 entries is a really really small amount :) If you ever happen to work with ecommerce plugins, translation plugins mailing lists etc you will notice that these might add hundreds of entries. But thats exactly as it should be since wordpress is optimized for using the table that way, and also caches the content of the whole table in a superglobal object.&#60;/p&#62;

			<description>&#60;p&#62;I'm finding the Coherence theme is adding a LOT of temporary files in the wp_options database table.  This doesn't seem like the best place for these.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I think it would be better if the Coherence theme had a separate temporary file table in the database.  That way if/when the table becomes large, it could be emptied easily without affecting other data for Wordpress or plugins.&#60;/p&#62;
