I marked this thread for Kriesi - maybe he can provide an useful hint. Kriesi also uses the php mail function in framework\php\class-form-generator.php:

mail($to, $subject, $message, $header);

For now I can only recommend to use third party plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/

So then, whats my option to fix this problem?

as i point using the next code

<?php
mail('contact@dentalnogales.com','Test mail','The mail function is working!');
echo 'Mail sent! to contact@dentalnogales.com';
?>

the mail got send, but not with your form.

Yes, it seems like some hosters (like Dreamhost/Hostgator) make troubles when it comes to sending mails. I'm not sure why some forms work and some not but maybe these hoster block some functuions or they require a special configuration/setup.

Hello,

With the number of people who purchase and use the theme each month if the contact form script didn't work properly it would be much more widespread.

You can always test to make sure that wordpress is working correctly with your mail server by using a contact form plugin and testing it that way.

Regards,

Dude, have you noticed the number of posts you get with the Contact Form not working? When I first bought Twicet 1.0 (Wordpress) I was never able to make it work. I know what you're thinking, there's something wrong on my end, but I have other sites on the same host using a different themes, those contact forms work.

Anyway, I decided to use Twicet for one of my less critical sites. Recently, I upgraded to Twicet 2.0. It appears the issue has not been fixed. Could it be there's something wrong with the theme?

Hi i test the server uploading a php file containing the next data:

<?php
mail('contact@dentalnogales.com','Test mail','The mail function is working!');
echo 'Mail sent! to contact@dentalnogales.com';
?>

when i execute that file, i did receive a mail, but i don't receive the mails generated from the contact form, so the php mail function, what can be the problem here?

Hi!

It seems like the sendmail_path and the smtp is configured but I'd contact the hoster support team and ask them if any other steps are required to use the php mail() function.

Regards,

The contact form won't use your gmail account to send your mails but the server will send them. You need to make sure that your server supports the php mail() function - otherwise the contact form won't work.

Hi Marcoev,

Silly question but did you check to see if the email is in your spam folder?

The problem may be with your server. Kriesi uses the standard mail() function for the forms which means your host/server needs to have this function enabled. You may want to check with them to see if they do.

In the meantime, I'm going to flag the rest of the support team to see if they have other ideas.

Regards,

Hi, i can't make the contact form to work, i fill all the fields, click send, it says eveything fine, but never receive the email.

i have a valid gmail account register on the general settings, is that email account used by the contact form to send the emails? do i have to put a valid email account registered on that domain?

what can i do to fix this?
