Hi Spud,

A modification such as you require is best handled by Woo's plugin that Peter and Devin suggested, since reinventing the wheel in this instance would be a time demanding, costly project.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Spud,

Peter is correct in that your best option is the Product Bundles extension. When it comes to customizing the checkout/processing functions of WooCommerce we are pretty hands off as it can be a bit of playing with fire since it involves payment processing etc :)

Regards,

So the business logic is a bit unique - the goal is to let a user select three products on our site (all priced at $25) and then get billed for only one of them (so the total would be $25). Our company that processes that and sees the three things they selected. We send those suggestions to their chosen recipient and ask the recipient to pick which of the three they would like to redeem, and we then send a gift card for $25 at the chosen retailer to the recipient.

To add a constant, we are going to make 3 products mandatory, although originally we were going to allow them to select between 1-3, if that is still possible it would be ideal. So the ideal goal is if the user selects one, two, or three products, they always get billed at $25.

Our site is a beta site to prove a concept so we recognize this is not the ideal final solution, just to show that it is possible.

Hi!

Afaik there's no easy way to achieve what you want. However there's an extension which allows you to sell bundles: WooComerce Product Bundles but I didn't test it yet.

Regards,
Peter

Hi,

Please tell us a bit more about the business logic. What price will be charged if a shopper select (a) two products ; (b) four or more products? (c) are 3 products mandatory?

Thanks,

I'm working on building an ecommerce site that will have only products that are worth $25. What I would like to do is allow people to add three items (each at $25) to their cart but to only charge them for $25, rather than $75. Is there a way to change the code to force every checkout to be worth $25 regardless of the total price of the cart.

Thanks, I know this is a unique request :)
