<p>All backend settings (all Template Builder, Theme Options Panel, posts, pages and portfolio item settings) are saved in the database and you won't affect them if you update the theme. However if you modify files you need to make a backup before you update the theme, otherwise you'll overwrite it (eg if you use css/custom.css for css mods).

<p>Hi, I want to do some customisations of the Angular theme. Am I right in thinking that if I use Dynamic Template mentioned in the Theme Documentation, then I can change the layout of a page etc, and that these changes will be preserved and function correctly, should I in the future download an update to the theme? </p>
<p>Also, in the event of a theme update, does the colour scheme etc get preserved? Or do I need to set up a Child Theme?
