Hi,

Yes, when you overwrite the theme your changes will be lost. However, each theme version comes with a version.rtf. In this file you'll find a list of updated files, so you can choose to only overwrite the modified files. If you have to overwrite a file which you've customised you can always copy over your modifications. If you need help with this you can always ask us.

I hope this helps :)

Regards,
Chris

Thank you Ismael for your support but I have a question which I hope you can help me with. If I make this change in loop-portfolio as you said, the next time the theme is updated from the developers, will this chnage be lost?

Hello,

This might help.

I am creating a site for furniture. I have created categories for the different furniture types (sofas, chairs, tables etc...) with portfolio categories. How can I show a description in every portfolio category above the portfolio items?

Thank you.
