Hi Ismael,

Thanks so very much! I had actually used a dynamic template page, but I failed to set the dynamic template value to "Frontpage"; I was trying to set it to load a category instead of a page...

I now have it the way I wanted; I changed the name to pretty much the same of that category, and added a "Heading" element to display the page title and search bar. ;o)

Again, thanks so very much for your help. Take care,

Nomar

Hi Nomar,

You can check it now. I noticed you haven't set anything on the homepage that's why the default index page is what appears and it can't be controlled in the template builder. Here are the steps I took:

1. Created a new page and named it Homepage
2. Under Layout set Overwrite default Post Layout and set this to Dynamic Template
3. Still Under Layout set Dynamic Template and set the value to Frontpage
4. Go to Propulsion > Theme Options and set this Homepage and save it

Regards,
Ismael

Hi Ismael,

I want to open a category in the front-page; so I did what you indicated above, and it works well, except that it includes ALL the posts; not just the ones in that specific category, even when ONLY THAT category is selected in the Blog Element. Am I missing something? Thanks,

Nomar

Hi,

You can use the Template Builder, insert the Blog element then choose only the category you want to show on your frontpage.

Regards,

First of all, love the theme. I'm a total noob and haven't managed to get around the theme settings and documentation no problem. Well done!

I would like to display only specific categories for the posts on my frontpage OR exclude specific categories from appearing on the frontpage. What's the easiest way to do that?

I don't think the query_posts function will work for me, since the limitation is that it could not specify which categories to display on paginated frontpages.
