You can try to "deactivate" this behavior with: <a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/" rel="nofollow">http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/</a></p> <p>Download &amp; Install the plugin and go to Settings &gt; Media. You'll notice that you can edit all existing thumbnail sizes on this option page and one of the thumbnail sizes is called: "fullsize" - it defines images with 1500px x 1500px. Set the values to very height px values like 9999px x 9999px and WP will not resize them anymore. They look almost like they were out of focus at the time I captured the image, which is not the case.</p> <p>This leads me to ask if when an image in uploaded into a Flashlight gallery (using Image Gallery), if the theme down samples/deres' the image? </p> <p>I've spent hours experimenting with different exporting settings from Lightroom 4. When I export an image as JPEG, 60% quality, 360 ppi, and 2,000 pixels on the long side of the image, the image appears great when opened independently (e.g. in Preview).
