Hi,

For self hosted files , in order to make the video work on all browsers, you need to have 3 versions of the video: in .mp4, .ogv, and .webm . You will need to put all the videos with same names into the same directory. Please watch this video I made about self hosting videos, https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKYnJKREhkTWlDRnc/edit and here is a post where I explain the video http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/html5-self-hosted-video-not-working-in-gallery-for-firefox-and-iphone#post-81159 Flashlight instructions are identical.

Thanks,

Nick

I want to play a self embedded video in the featured media slideshow on a page in propulsion.

I have uploaded the file .mp4 to my media library and copied the url into the 'add external video' dialog box. I have also added a 'preview image'.

The preview image comes up with the 'play button' overlay, but on clicking I then get a blank box with the play button overlay, clicking this again plays my video in Safari but not in Firefox.

If I use a youtube/vimeo link (2nd slide) the video plays when clicking on the preview image, is there a way of replicating this with a self hosted vid?

http://capture1.co.uk/newsite/?page_id=347

Thanks
Bruce
