I see now why blog excerpt doesn't work.</p> <p>I have created 3 blog style templates. One is a straight blog, one a food blog and one an educational blog. So checking the option in Readings for the posts to appear on blog makes all of the posts appear there. I am only using it because the theme is not automatically doing it.
