Hey,

Glad you got this figured out.

There's nothing wrong with the code you've added, if it works stick with it :)

Bugged me until I figured it out.

After tinkering I found that the extra period/line was being caused because my tweets ended with a link followed by a period. To fix this, I added some code to remove the trailing '.' to line 238:

237) $output .= '<div class="tweet-text avatar_'.$avatar.'">'.$message['text'];
238) $output = preg_replace("/\.$/","",$output);

Any reason this is a bad solution?

Additional Info:

BTW it's mostly the extra line that bothers me.

From the looks of it I used a couple of different twitter apps to post these, so I thought it might have something to do with how the text is being handled. I poked around a bit but in lieu of screwing something up, I figured I'd ask the experts.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!!

Hey guys,

I put the theme's twitter feed in one of the footer widgets. Because of how the theme styles #footer links, it was putting hash tags and mentions on their own line. I added classes to the class-framework-widgets.php file so I could style this away. That all worked fine but I seem to be getting an extra '.' between the twitter URL and the tweet date.

You can see what I'm talking about at http://spiritlifespeaks.com/churchsite
