The image: <a href="http://www.wijkrijgenkippen.nl/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/kip.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www.wijkrijgenkippen.nl/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/kip.jpg</a> is just 200px x 212 (and the slider width would be 450px by default). WP will only resize images which are bigger than the required image/thumbnail sizes.
