Hey,
the problem (in this case) is that the image itself (original image - no thumbnail size) is too small. The image: http://www.wijkrijgenkippen.nl/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/kip.jpg is just 200px x 212 (and the slider width would be 450px by default). WP will only resize images which are bigger than the required image/thumbnail sizes. However WP center crops all images and doesn't stretch them.

Hi guys,

First, great and very versatile theme, I love it... :)

But there is one problem, the featured images are streched, and I would like them to be cropped.
For example: http://www.wijkrijgenkippen.nl/wij-krijgen-kippen-in-vakblad-energie/
That chicken is wider than it should be...

I know this is the code that is scaling the image:
$avia_config['imgSize']['blog'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>255); // image for blog posts (big)

Is there a way to crop this image instead of scale it? Otherwise I have to change the aspect ratio of all the images on my computer and upload them all again...

grtz & thanks in advance, Bas
