Ok - the reason can be found in the original image dimensions. I.e. this image: http://www.biospablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/loose-hemp-powder.jpg or: http://www.biospablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/wellness-menu.jpg have a width of 900px. Wordpress will not resize the width if it's smaller or equal the thumbnail size (which is 940px). To get rid of the white border you'll need to upload images with higher resolutions.

You can also strech the images by using css code however they may look distorted afterwards. If you want to try it just add following code to css/custom.css:

.js_active .slideshow_container.slideshow_featured img {
width: 940px;
}

You'll notice the first couple images are short on the right side. This repeats throughout the site on most images.

The featured images in slideshows on my custom templates are not resizing properly, showing about 25 pixels of white space on the right side. The images I'm using are large - around 900 X 900 or 900 X600. Some of the images that are 1200 wide do not show any white space on the right side. I'm using the 2D full size image in the slideshow.

Any thoughts?
