Hey,
we can't update Cu3er because of license reasons. We had problems with Heart before - they're blocking loopback connections which breaks the slider function.

Hi there,

I have just contacted Cu3er direct and they have said the following... "The template you bought is using old beta version of CU3ER for which we do not offer support anymore, so about all problems with it you should contact template designer".

Please can you tell me when you are going to update the Cu3er software or how I can for your template?

Kind regards

Grant

Thanks for coming back to me, any suggestions on a new UK hosting company? Also, this is the latest information from Heart on the problem... any ideas?

I have tried to strace your site. This command stores the output in a file called output

[thewebsurgery.com@web36 ~]$ strace -o ~/output -f -r -s4096 -p29754
Process 29754 attached - interrupt to quit
Process 29754 detached

There are 3 processes that are taking 3 seconds each
[thewebsurgery.com@web36 ~]$ cat output | cut -c12-16 | sort -rn | head
3.002
3.000
2.999

29754 0.000113 poll([{fd=5, events=POLLIN|POLLOUT|POLLERR|POLLHUP, revents=POLLIN|POLLERR|POLLHUP}], 1, 60000) =1
29754 3.002003 getsockopt(5, SOL_SOCKET, SO_ERROR, [111], [4]) = 0

29754 0.000078 poll([{fd=5, events=POLLIN|POLLOUT|POLLERR|POLLHUP, revents=POLLIN|POLLERR|POLLHUP}], 1, 60000) =1
29754 3.000140 getsockopt(5, SOL_SOCKET, SO_ERROR, [111], [4]) = 0

29754 0.000083 poll([{fd=5, events=POLLIN|POLLOUT|POLLERR|POLLHUP, revents=POLLIN|POLLERR|POLLHUP}], 1, 60000) =1
29754 2.999907 getsockopt(5, SOL_SOCKET, SO_ERROR, [111], [4]) = 0

Looks like this is being delayed by a delay on poll, each of 3 seconds equaling a total of nine seconds. You should check your scripts as there appears to be a problem with them.

Hey,

This problem isn't something WordPress is doing "wrong", it just the way that content is loaded. Talk to Heart and see if they've misconfigured their server, alternatively I'd suggest another host. Lets put it this way, I've never heard good things about Heart...

Hi there, Its Heart Internet in the UK. The website is trying to make a loop back connection back to the same server to obtain some content, it appears to make a loop back request stall for 2-3 seconds then load again and tries to loop back again for a total of 9 seconds.

Do you know how I can check the loop back issue and edit the scripts so that the main images load quickly?

Cheers

Hey,

I don't think it's just the Cuber slideshow taking its time to load; the whole site was painfully slow for me.

Who's your webhost?

Hi there, I have had my website up and running for months but suddenly there is a problem with the flash code as there is a stall between accessing the site and the flash program executing. Prior to my slide-show beginning there is a Cuber logo for the flash program being used and it appears as if this is what is causing the delay.

Please could you help me sort this problem out and see what the flash code is doing while waiting to display the slide-show?

My website is thewebsurgery.com

Many thanks

Grant
