Hi steonkeys,

Google will re-index your site eventually or you can manually ask them to do so. Once you have new content, it will use one of your new posts instead.

If you want to have a bit more control, you can use something like Yoast SEO or one of those kinds of plugins to offer an actual site description to google.

While you are still developing your site i would recommend going to Settings>Reading and for the option "Search Engine Visibility" select the checkbox to tell search engines not to index your site.

Then when you are all done, uncheck that box.

Regards,

Devin

I am new to this - so sorry. When I set up flashlight - I imported dummy content so I could work out where everything was going. However, when people search for my website, the first hit is my website - how do I change the description underneath the site title though? It currently says something about shooting with the iPhone 3GS and the around the world balloon race.
