We unfortunately aren't able to offer support for third party plugins. If the author can point to a conflict with the theme we can definitely try to address it but with the variety and number of plugins available we just aren't able to diagnose them directly.

nextGen is fairly popular and I imagine that if you are having this kind issue someone else has probably encountered something similar before and the nextGen forums should help.

Regards,

The Plugin I am referring to is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/

I was wondering if it was due to a conflict with PrettyPhoto.

I was hoping that someone would be using NextGen with the Flagship theme and had worked out a way round this, as I have previously mentioned it's only a problem in IE8, and I need to maintain the functionality of the NextGen Plugin.

Thanks

Hi,

Your best bet is to consult the forum for the plugin, I know they have a lively forum http://wordpress.org/tags/nextgen-scrollgallery Unfortunately I don't use this plugin.

Thanks,

Hi, I have been through testing different Plugins and have found that it's the NextGEN Gallery Plugin that is causing the scrollbars to disappear in IE8. Does anyone know of a workaround, or can anymore suggest anything to help?

I really need to keep the functionality of the NextGen Galleries on my site, hope someone can help.

Thanks

Hey!

I can't reproduce this issue on my PC. Maybe try to deactivate all third party plugins (especially the cookie plugin because it IE suddenly displayed two scroll bars instead of one) and check if one of the plugins causes the issue.

Regards,
Peter

Hi,

Thanks for this, however I now have a new problem. When viewing the site in Internet Explorer v8 no scroll bar appears, so no-one can scroll down the page?

Thanks

Hi grindle,

Looking at your site now the main image is fixed. I think what you want is the main image to scroll (just semantic difference http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_background-attachment.asp)

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

#top.home #apply_header_bg {
background-attachment: scroll;
}

Regards,

Hi, thanks for the reply, the web address is http://www.ebchester.org

What I would like is to have the background and content scroll together on the homepage (as one) at the moment, the background seems fixed?

Hope this makes sense

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. What do you mean by the content being scrollable? Background has nothing to do with it. Can you give us a link to your website? Anyway, suggest image size for the background is 990x110px.

Regards,
Ismael

Hi,

the jpg I want to use for the Header Background image on my Homepage is an exact size. I would like to centre this and make it a fixed position with no scrolling

In the header background options I have chosen Top Centre (not tiled) this gives me the image at the right size, but the content below is scrollable. I dont want this. I actually want the scrolling to behave like when I choose the option strecth fullwidth, but I dont want the image to stretch full width.

Please can you help
