Hi,

For making customization to your theme's CSS, we recommend that you install and get to know Firebug ( http://getfirebug.com/css ) and Google Chrome developer tools ( https://developers.google.com/chrome-developer-tools/docs/overview ) browser add-on. Firebug is a free web development tool that integrates into Firefox and Chrome browsers and assists in monitoring, debugging and editing of any website's CSS, HTML, DOM, and JavaScript files.

Once installed, this easy to follow video will show you the basics of Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974 and get you on your way to customizing your theme like a real pro. It's 5 minutes long, and by the end you will know how to style anything!\

I will look again, but i am not sure what you mean, since the code above set the background just where the three white areas are shown in your image.

Thanks,

Nick

Thanks for getting back so quickly. The CSS code you provided above changed the color layered behind the white box. It looks like the item I want to change is actually the text box itself...

Hi,

Would you please be a bit more specific If you have a direct URL to the page or can find it on the theme demo.that would help us greatly. A screen shot with an arrow would be perfect.

Thanks,

Nick.

How would you change the background color of Topic Replies? Currently it is white but would like it darker.

Hey traveljunks,

With a little bit of css you can add any color you want to the table header. You would use:

.bbp-forums thead {
background-color: #111;
}

Then just change the color code to the one you want and the font color can be adjusted by adding color: #fff to the same css.

Regards,

Thanks for your answer.

My second question is about the color in the header of the bbpress forum, like you have in your other themes with bbpress.

I would like to have that with background color to make it a bit more clear :)

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/sjoelie3/kriesiforumheadcolor.png

Hello,

I think you can place a banner on the header but you have to wrap it on a div then use media queries to keep it responsive.

Not sure if understand no.2. Can you give us a screenshot of what you want to achieve?

Regards,

Hi there,

I'm thinking of replacing the Abundance theme with the Choises theme, but first I have two pre sale questions.

- Can I place a 468x60 banner in the site header (Hostelbookers top left) like I did in Abundance -> http://www.backpackguru.com/ without breaking the responsive design?

- Is it possible to display the forum header, with "Forum - Topics - Posts" in the general picked color as background with white fonts(like you have in your support forum etcetera)?

Thanks!
Robert
