Hi Jeff,

Not sure whats going on but maybe taking a look at it from the backend will help. Can you create a new temporary admin account and then send me the details?

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn't grab it :)

Regards,

Thanks, Nick and Ismael. Really appreciate your help. Sorry my site wasn't loading; think that has been solved now.

But, the dropcap issue still remains. I've added in the dropcaps using the shortcodes provided, and have double checked them. But, the letters are still not showing up on the page http://www.jeffhenry.me/blog

Thanks,

Hi,

I just tested and all works for me. Are you sure you are correctly inserting the dropcap? Please look here http://i.imgur.com/nnJiT.png

Your website never loaded. I got a timeout error so I couldn't look.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi JNHenry,

I think FTP is the easiest way to update the theme. As of now, I can't think of any solution on the dropcap issue, let me tag the rest of the support to help us out.

Regards,

Thanks, Ismael.

I did update to version 1.9, but that didn't help with the dropcap issue.

Also, is there an easier way to update besides using FTP to replace things? No update button in the theme?

Hi Jeff,

Try to update your site to the latest version of Flashlight Theme (1.9) and try to disable all your plugins.

Regards,

Sorry. Please disregard questions 2 and 3. I decided to delete my original posts and redo them. That seemed to fix those problems, though I'm not sure why.

Dropcaps on main blog page is still not working. Any advice on that would be appreciated.

Hi,

Couple of questions on some issues I'm having. You can see examples of these problems at http://www.jeffhenry.me/blog

1. On the main blog page, the first letter in the post does not display if a dropcap shortcode is used. Is there a way to fix this?

2. Is there a way for an image associated with each post to be displayed on the main blog page (e.g. "Display Image Above Entry") automatically? On a test site I did, hosted locally, for each blog post I added the image to the Image Gallery below the Visual Editor. Now that doesn't work. To get an image to show up on the main blog page, I must add it to the Image Gallery, and set it as the Featured Image. Since I also want the image in the blog post, I have to insert it as well. This is three steps. Is there any way to do it in one or two?

3. When I did a local host test, whenever there was a gallery image set for a blog post, that image would be the background image when viewing that blog post. I can't get that to work now that I'm hosting online. The default background image is on each blog post. How can I get back to a different background image for each post? I really liked that feature.

Thanks for your help.

Jeff
