I have done a lot of experimenting but I haven't managed to add a certain set of widgets JUST on the home/intro page (see: <a href="http://magnuskahler.com)" rel="nofollow">http://magnuskahler.com)</a> It works to define sidebar areas for other specific pages, e.g. about, clients, services etc, but NOT for the intro page which runs on a dynamic template pulling in different types of content.
