Hey dmag,

Thanks for understanding. I will say the newer themes have a ridiculous amount of new features. The base price is still incredibly low for a website and you can do more than ever without going outside of the wordpress backend.

Regards,

Fair enough. Everybody has to eat and get a return on their time. Too bad Theme Forest doesn't do this. Seems counter-intuitive if you're trying to build long-term loyalty. Of course, maybe the current system is better for Theme Forest, not necessarily the product creators.

The model I usually favor is to pay $150+ for multiple site rights to a theme I really like. That way I can install it on as many sites as I want, and the developer makes more, too.

I appreciate your answers here, and wish you the best.

Like every software product themes have a life cycle and the theme author must sell new themes to cover the development costs. Maybe the situation would be different if themeforest allows subsciption payments for support, etc. but that's not the case atm. That said we have no plans to update Avisio in the near future...

Thanks for the note. Frankly, the lack of updating is the reason I have stopped buying from Theme Forest.

After putting in sometimes hundreds of hours in building a site up, the fact that the developer doesn't update the features leaves the owner no choice but to go out and buy a new theme — which will usually take a lot of work to smooth things out.

If I bought another theme from you the same thing would happen, and that doesn't make sense for me.

For people who do Internet marketing for a living, the developer updating a theme protects my investment of money and time invested. If you do that I can be a long term customer. If you don't, I have to look elsewhere.

I bought Avisio over two years ago. Since then a lot of change shave taken place.

I'd like to know if the theme has been updated to take advantage of the changes
in Wordpress, and be ready for plugins which have been released.

As well, to be responsive.

Please advise, one way or the other.

Thank you.
