Hi,

Please upgrade to the current version of theme by downloading the latest theme version on themeforest.com. You will need to use ftp to update the theme . so make a backup because every theme file will be over written (unless you first compare the current version to new version using winmerge.org on windows).

I made a video before how to properly upgrade the theme if you customized theme files so that you don't lose customization. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKRkJlN0pyNVNDSkk/edit?usp=sharing

Please watch it and once you are up and running see if things get better.

Thanks,

Hi
I have version 1.6
I fixed the issue with the tables. The image on this page: http://www.transfer.thewealthcap.org/academics-at-queens/campus-map/
can't be seen properly in a mobile device since we can't zoom in/out (due to the responsive setting)

thanks

Hi,

I think that your table is causing the zoom in and out problem, please look on the demo site if you see a similar zoom problem http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/

Also please look at the version of the theme you are using and make sure it's the latest one because I remember this issue being taken care of some time in October when ios6 came out in version 1.8 or 1.7, just look in your styles.css for your version.

Thanks,

thanks!, Now i understand the problem with the tables, i just copy/pasted the information so i got the html code.

About the issue with the photos/images. Is there a way to zoom in/out an image for the responsive setting? We have a map on the site, so the viewers need to be able to zoom in/out.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi,

Your problem is that you've hardcoded the widths of the table cells in html just like this

January

27

Sunday

Last day to drop course(s) for 100% tuition refund

That is the old way of coding. You should put the styles into classes and also create 4 classes for the 4 widths. The 4 classes for the widths would then be inside 4 different media queries , each for a specific screen size. Because right now your table can never be smaller than 358+75+30+51 pixels = 511px or so. Since the iPhone portrait view is smaller than 511 pixels you run into a problem. You can try using % instead of pixels or use media queries as I wrote earlier to make this problem go away.

I am pretty sure that Choices theme has a shortcode for a table that is responsive , please look for it in add/edit post or page.under the dropdown box.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Devin
The problem is that the tables don't resize to the iphone in vertical view, so they appear incomplete.
Another page has a map of college campus, but is not possible to zoom in/out so basically you can't really see it on the iphone.
thanks for your help

Hi shantidevii,

When set to responsive, you aren't supposed to be able to zoom in and out as the site should "respond" to the screen size and adjust all of the content.

I don't know what you mean by incomplete however? What exactly is happening on the iphone for those pages that is different than on desktop?

Regards,

Hi
My test site is: http://www.transfer.thewealthcap.org/

If i select the setting: "responsive layout". The website adjust to the ipad and iphone, however i can't zoom in/out. Some pages appear incomplete, mainly in the iphone. These are 2 cases where the tables show incomplete in the iphone:

http://www.transfer.thewealthcap.org/academics-at-queens/academic-calendar/
http://www.transfer.thewealthcap.org/come-to-queens/programsmajors/

Photos are also not able to be seen close since i can't zoom in/out. If i select "fixed layout" those pages appear complete (because i can zoom in/out). I have seen another WP responsive themes that can do it.

There is a way that the responsive theme can also zoom in and out?. Or how can i fix the problems with the tables?

I am very happy with the theme, just small issues now and then :)
