Thanks Kevin! Glad you have found a working fix. I'll keep this on file for the occasional windows server user :)

Thanks again Devin,

Your Googling lead me to two posts on IIS.net. Ultimately, this one is the definitive fix: http://www.howyoudo.info/index.php/how-to-fix-windows-server-upload-file-inherit-permissions-error/.

The downfall is that after permalinks and file inheritance is working you need to reload all of your media to the library.

We have the site working on a development server now and on the test server noted above.

As thanks, I've uploaded two template files we've determined yield the best results for logo/partner images and banner images. You can grab them here: http://www.bunt.ca/kriesi-choices/Logo-Partner-Slider_Templates-Choices_Theme.zip

I've been using the Media Library to preload images for the slider and logo features of the theme.

Thanks again!
Kevin

Hey Kevin,

It was my first time seeing that kind of error so I thought a bit of googling and reading was in order (seeing something for the first time is rare these days!).

Let us know how it goes, I've tagged myself on the topic as I would like to find the out the resolution.

Regards,

Hi Devin,
Yes it is a Microsoft server. I started to realize something was wrong this when attempting to view PDFs threw a 500 server error. I've removed the rewrite rules and set permalinks to the default. Now this feature along with other features like lightbox and any other media is being properly displayed.

I'll retest the upload button to see if the files are being stored in the proper directory. Thanks for the Stackflow link I'll see if this fixes things - my rewrite file is identical to the posted fix/discussion. I'll post if it is successful.

Thanks so very much for your input. It is a huge help!
Kevin

Hi kbunt,

Is this a windows sever by chance? When looking at the site, I'm getting an error associated with the logo images of:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (URL Rewrite Module Error.)

Can you try changing your permalinks settings to the default structure if this is the case and then go through the uploading process again.

If that does fix the issue there is a fix/discussion of it here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4403514/wordpress-permalinks-on-iis

Hi everyone,
I've done everything I can think of, read all the threads but the Logo Partner List just isn't working for me. I've documented my steps here: http://icrf.bunt.ca/troubleshooting.html

Any suggestions? I've set up a new install of v 1.5.0 with all plugins except bbpress off. Started a clean set of elements for a full width front page. New uploads added in the LPElement are being stored in odd places as you will see.

I later ran a test using the Media Library to add a second logo (logos5) and it was stored in the proper directory /08/. I added it via the Upload button in the Logo Partner Links element. The result of all this can be seen on http://icrf.bunt.ca/

Thanks!
