Well, we are getting closer. I tried adjusting the percentages some thinking I could get it all squeezed in. What it is doing now is that first column you can see all the picture is there but it is really squished, so I thought if i adjusted the width that would take care of it, but it didn't. It just made the image a little smaller and still squished. I'm not too worried about the podcast stuff in the middle two columns as I know it's third party plugin and I can probably work around those somewhat, but it does seem to affect those differently. If I can get the regular image sizes down I'd be a happy camper for now. I just wish it was a little easier to pinpoint and to get it to just scale it down to fit and the proportions would be constrained right.

Hey!

Ok, let's try:

.home .portfolio a, .home .portfolio a img, .home .portfolio img{
    height: 100% !important;
    width: 95% !important;
}

Best regards,
Peter

ok, I did that, added it to the end of the Content Area, is that where it is supposed to go? I added it under all the other .js_active lines. Wasn't sure where exactly to put it. It did make a change, not to the regular pictures I add manually but to the videos, it stretched them all out till they fit. We are getting closer! Not sure why it only affected the videos though. It seems it scaled the width but not the height, hence the really weird stretched out look. Thanks for your help, at least it's a step, hopefully in the right direction.

I tried to reply to Devin's response but the topic was closed. I'm not really concerned about the pod press stuff, I know that it's third party and i wouldn't expect you to give support for it, however, the regular blog posts are acting the same way, i do manually insert the images, but if i don't size them just right they look ridiculous on the main page. Incidentally i think that is what the podcasting plugin is doing, manually inserting images.

I don't want to have to constrain my images to the width of the columns on the main page just to get it to look right. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to insert any image i want into a blog post. I'll change the first column on the main page to show you what i mean.

Original thread here--------> " Does anyone know if you can change the way the images show up in the posts on the main page? When it automatically puts them in it doesn't scale them down and they look terrible. My only work around till now was to make sure i didn't put an image before the break. However, we are now posting video podcasts and when they show up on the main page you only get a fraction of what's really there. I can't find any settings in the clean-cut options.

our site: http://oakridgebiblechurch.com
you can see what i mean right on the main page at the bottom."
