I messed around with the code as you suggested and I think I got it to work.

Thanks!

Hi Nick,

Thanks for looking into this. here is the site. http://173.254.28.129/~zprimcom/wp/wp-admin/. It's not public yet. I wondered about the hard numbers but after searching the forum and trying on my own this is the only solution i found that worked. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

Without looking at it, my guess would be to change width to 960px; in the first block. and then look to see what effect that had. It will most likely still look wrong, and that's when I would play with the 50% number in the first block.

Be careful though. The theme is responsive , yet you are using hard numbers (pixels) instead of percents or em. I hope you are placing such css blocks inside media queries, otherwise people using tablets and smartphones will get a distorted view of the page. Please provide a url (you can use goo.gl to mask it) where we can see the code in order to better assist you (no screenshots).

Thanks,

Nick

Hi!

I learned in another post how to change the background color of the header menu bar using this code:

.main_menu {
background: #336699;
bottom: 0;
left: -50%;
margin: 0;
padding: 9px 0;
position: absolute;
width: 200%;
}

.menu-main-menu-container {
display: block;
height: 100%;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 960px;
}

It works great in stretched layout, but when I tried to make the website boxed, the color continues across the body background, and I cant' figure out how to contain it. Can you please help me?

Thanks,
Heather
