Great! Thanks for sharing the resolution with us :)

I'll have to make a note of it and keep this in mind next time something similar pops up.

Thanks again!

Hi Ismael,

Worked like a charm - Solution 1 - http://swordfishsoup.co.uk/cant-add-more-menus-to-wordpress-custom-menus/

Unable to add more menu items in WordPress?

If you find that you can’t add additional menu items in WordPress using the WP custom menus under appearance, chances are you already have 16 items there.

It seems there is a bug which is affected by PHP’s suhosin settings with some servers – and it’s not an issue with your theme or settings inside WordPress itself.
The solution

The way to resolve it is to amend the suhosin settings in your php.ini file. If you’ve gone blank by now then you just need to contact your hosting providers support department and ask for the following to be updated:

suhosin.post.max_vars = 5000

suhosin.request.max_vars = 5000

After this update you’ll easily be able to add further menu items in WordPress – appearance – menus.

I understand that this issue is being looked into and should be resolved in future releases of Wordpress without the need to edit these server side settings.

In case you’re interested the settings allow more variables to be passed than the standard setting. The workaround in the future would be to have the menu items in an array so that this issue doesn’t arise.

Ok thanks for the advice, I should have tried the plugin route first, I'm guessing it's the facebook plugin, it has not played well with other themes in the past, will let you know what I find.

1) Maybe this article can help you: http://swordfishsoup.co.uk/cant-add-more-menus-to-wordpress-custom-menus/

2) Make sure that the menu is assigned to the right theme location (Apparance > Menus).

3) If this doesn't help deactivate all third party plugins and check if one causes the menu issue.

The top nav, the last two menu items will not stay in the backend when I save they kick some the the second and third level dropdowns to weird places, like not where I had them. I have updated to 1.2 all the way up to css sheets, which I plan to compare and contract today. Thank you for your help, some of the best damn WP themes out there and we love the framework.

When I change the menu in the back-end - it repopulates to something other than what I have listed in the backend.

For instance. The last two menu items should be Food Pairing & Recipes with a bunch of dropdown and then Ask Chick. Everytime I configure it that way in the backend and hit save it changes it to what is up there.
