Hey,

I added a Linkedin link to this piece of code Dude suggested (second last line), this should allow you to also add others - simply copy paste :)

echo "
";
echo "
<a href='".avia_get_option('feedburner',get_bloginfo('rss2_url'))."'>RSS
";
	if($facebook = avia_get_option('facebook')) echo "
/

Facebook
";
	if($twitter = avia_get_option('twitter')) echo "
/

Twitter
";
echo "
/

Linkedin
";
echo "
";

fyi i wrote the author of social+pop and he says the plugin works in sidebar.

i'm more interested in the code to add Linkedin & Google+ to the same line as RSS / Facebook / Twitter, cause i think that would look the best.

could you maybe explain that a little simpler? i tried adding the above line to sidebar.php followed by the social media short code i listed above (from another post on copyright code), and i kept getting sidebar errors. in sidebar, where it neatly lists RSS / Facebook / Twitter ... is it possible to add Linkedin and Google+ in the same way?

also would it be possible to add (within theme aesthetic) a live twitter feed to sidebar?

sorry for so many questions, thanks!!

Yes - I think that's a better solution. I'm sure that: http://codecanyon.net/item/socialpop-a-social-media-plugin-for-wordpress/ allows you to add widgets to the sidebar. If not you can use shortcodes in text widgets too (you just need to add one line of code to functions.php: http://digwp.com/2010/03/shortcodes-in-widgets/ ). You could also insert the plugin php code in sidebar.php before following line:

echo "
";

hmm...sounds complicated.

perhaps the best (and cleanest) way would be to add them to the sidebar. so how could I have something like RSS / Facebook / Twitter / Linkedin / Google+ ?? I am willing to drop RSS if space is needed.

thanks

You could add a content element before the contact form and add your images and/or text to it. You can also try to modify the heading text in includes/contact-form.php (instead of "Send us mail" use something different) - however I'm not sure if it's possible to implement the social popup plugin this way. I think the best bet would be to use a "social icon" shortcode within a content area before the contact form.

so you can't replace the contact image (where it says 'contact us' with a jar of pens and pencils) with something like this? http://codecanyon.net/item/socialpop-a-social-media-plugin-for-wordpress/110958?WT.ac=search_thumb&WT.seg_1=search_thumb&WT.z_author=luckykind

if not, could i add 'linkedin' or google+ to the sidebar so I have something like... RSS / Facebook / Twitter / Linkedin / Google+

I saw another post here with this code, but it doesn't match the theme look.

echo "
Linkedin
FlickR
Vimeo
";

thanks & happy new year!!

Hey,
the contact form supports textfields, textarea, button and decoy form elements only. It does not support images, selextion boxes, etc.
You can use plugins like Formidable or Contact form 7.

is there a way in-place of an image in 'contact' to have links or icons for google+, linkedin, etc.?
