Hey Dude,

Thanks for getting back to me!

Yeah - I tried Advanced Excerpt - but the shortcode for my player still shows up as the shortcode rather than the rendered player. I'm not sure if I need to have the product template look at advanced-excerpt rather than just excerpt? Sorry - I'm learning coding, but very slowly...

And as far as I can see - there's no option to group variable products?

Thanks for replying man, very much appreciated!

Hey,
1) Wordpress strips html tags from the excerpt text (that's way it won't display the player too). I'd use plugins like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-excerpt/ which allow you to use html excerpts too.

2) Did you try to use the "Variable product" type? You could set different file types/codecs as variations. I'm not sure if this is the best way to handle digital downloads but it's worth a try.

Hi Guys,

Firstly - thanks for putting together such a great, simple to use theme. I've been searching for the ideal solution for my record labels site/online store for months, and I finally found it in Abundance. Thanks!

A few queries I wonder if you can help with...

On the store side of my site, I'll mostly be selling digital downloads (music). My products are set up as releases, each of which contain several tracks (see a standard release here: http://audioparallax.com/shop/apr028-the-warm-signal-faded-love-2/).

I'd really like to have a music player above the product details rather than in the product description. The only way I can see to do this is to paste the shortcode for my player into the Excerpt field, however this wont allow HTML. I've tried adding a few code snippets I found online, but these all apply to my theme's functions file - but I have the feeling I need to change the code in the product templates. Can anyone suggest a solution to this?

Question No. 2 (Apologies if this maybe should have been split into two threads..)

I'd really like to offer MP3 and WAV on the site - meaning each track would have two variables - each with a separate download link. With the grouped products as they are, I cant see a way around this. Ideally MP3 and WAV versions would have different prices, but I could make them the same if it was easier. I really want to avoid having a catalogue full of single tracks, or two grouped products for each release...

Hope you can help, I appreciate your time (I haven't done much work on the look/content of the site yet....)

Thanks!
