Hi Daniel,

Really it's hard to say what the cause is without knowing all the variables involved. I did a quick search of WordPress plugins and came across this fairly recent plugin WordPress Menu Exporter. I've never used the plugin so I can't attest to its validity or compatibility with WordPress 3.4 but it may be worth a try.

Regards,
Mya

Hi Devin, no, the menu was saved before, when i was saving the changes ( only the new changes ) the menu gone, all menu, not only the changes. So i lost a lot of work there, i did the menu two times, and that make very dissapointed, so i need to know whats going on in order to make the new menu again. Thats why later in this post i suggested to have a backup menu, if i will lose the menu, i have the way to change rapidly to the backup menu.

Thanks

Daniel

Hi dmaldonado,

The menu doesn't get saved until you hit Update Menu so I'm guessing the changes you made were just not saved when the page was refreshed.

Regards,

1) Yes - the easiest solution would be to make a complete database backup. Tools like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-db-backup/ will help you with the backup.

2) No, probably this is not possible but it doesn't make much sense too because you can make a backup of the whole database anyway.

Hello,

I have a site with a fairly complex menu, while I was editing, an error occurred, and the screen went blank and when I returned giving update to the browser, the menu was gone, disappeared completely.

My questions are:

1. Is there any way to have a backup wordpress menu?
2. Is it possible to duplicate the menu in the database? This to always keep a copy of the menu, because it is really large and complex.
At this point, I'm creating the menu again, if i have a copy this task will be ver easy.

My URL: http://www.gimnasiomoderno.edu.co

thanks
