Including the IE stylesheet fixed the problem.

I placed this in the /wp-content/themes/coherence/header.php file above the </head> portion of the code:

<!--[if lt IE 9]>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/wp-content/themes/coherence/css/ie8-and-down.css" />
<![endif]-->

And this is the CSS content of my ie8-and-down.css file:

p a img {
max-width: none;
}

Thank you Ismael for the tip.

However I'd like to recommend a more permanent IE8 compressed image solution be added to these themes so we don't have to individually troubleshoot and fix them in the future.

Hello,

You include an IE fix stylesheet on your css folder.

This link might help http://css-tricks.com/how-to-create-an-ie-only-stylesheet/.

I'm finding images placed in the content area of posts and pages and wrapped in a link (so the image appears in a PrettyPhoto popup window) are being compressed horizontally when viewed in Internet Exploder 8 for Windows.

Here is an example link:
http://www.bradpennock.com/?p=1

The images appear normal in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for any help you can provide.
