GOT IT

Make sure to end your structure with either %post_id% or %postname% (e.g. /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/) so that each permalink points to an individual post.

I am using the Display Theme and I have now noticed that when i create my categories and blog postings that you can see only part of the posting and a read more link. or you can select the category of the post. when you select the read more link you get a 404 error.

example: http://jerrypoynter.com/category/articles in the content you see a read more link. when you hover over it the URL says it is going to http://jerrypoynter.com/category which is what the permalink setting are set to. iv tried just / to naming it anything. the post are not being assigned a link I'm guessing.

now i did check my permalinks etc and i don't see why this is not functioning correctly

can some one help please.
