Hey!

You can also use:

background: transparent none;

Regards,

Hey,

I just found a way to "remove" the background; it may not be the correct one, but it worked.
I added:

background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);

and it hid it.     ;o)

Hi Devin,

Thanks for the suggestion, but nope, it didn't work either. :o(

I use the line separation ( ____________ ) to visually separate the pieces of code I add to the Quick CCS.
I tried using /*________________*/, and also taking it all out, but it made no difference whatsoever.

Well, I guess I'll try changing the name of the icons so they are not found. Maybe...

Thanks anyway.  Take care,

For 2 and 3, that is the only css that I can see working.

Try removing the " ___ " you have separating your css. You shouldn't use anything like that in css files and it may be preventing the css from properly rendering.

Hey Devin,

Thanks for the codes. Unfortunately, number 2 and 3 didn't work at all.
You can barely see the icons, but if you hover over that place, the "hand" shows up.
For the contact form, I also tried both "page-id-65" and 67, and "background-color: none" (just in case), but nothing...

Regarding the main menu, yes; the code worked (sort of)... This is what happened:

1. Setting a smaller margin works fine; it held it in one line to the right of the logo. ;o)

2. However, when testing it in my tablets (ipad and Android) and in my iphone, the menu drops way down from the logo. I tried reducing the distance from the top (you set it at 103px), and the it works fine, but of course it goes up to the top again. Is there another way to align it with the logo at the bottom?

Thanks, and take care,

Hi Nomar,

1) The margins for each item needs to be less if you want the whole menu to fit to the right of the logo. It looks a bit tight but this will do it:

#top .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a {
    margin-left: 18px;
}
#top .main_menu {
    top: 103px;
}

2) This should do it:

#top .title_container .social_bookmarks {
display: none;
}

3) Not sure if there is another page, but use:

#top.page-id-67 .post-entry fieldset {
background-color: transparent;
}

That would be for the "contact-us" page

Regards,

Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing great.

There are a few things I need to modify and cannot make them happen. I’ve been looking at the layout.css code, and placing the modifications in the “Quick CSS” of the theme, but I can’t figure out what it is I’m missing. This is the link to the site: http://9starssm.com/9S-BBC, and here the issues:

1. When seeing the site in a desktop, I want the main menu to remain at the right of the page (it is set: "float: right;”), and stay aligned with the bottom of the logo, but it either aligns to the top, or goes under the logo depending on the font I use (either the ones included in the theme or those in the Google fonts plugin).

2. I need to remove the social icons on the right of the page title. I’ve tried this:
.social_bookmarks li.rss{
display: none;
}
But they remain there (I want to remove both rss and Twitter).

3. I need to remove the background square behind the contact form. I’m using
#top.page-id-65 fieldset {
background: none !important;
}
But nothing; the background remains there. When looking for the page ID, using Firebug, I see this: “page page-id-67 page-child parent-pageid-65”; I’ve tried both 67 and 65, but it doesn’t work.

Thanks before hand for your help, as always.
Take care,

Nomar
