As far as I know there isn't anything within the theme that would change that.

It is probably caused by an item or field being partially filled and saved locally (woocommerce is my best guess).

Regards,

thanks Devin. The solutions provided in the linked article suggest ways that the viewer can alter their browser to avoid the problem.

In this case the page expiry notice does not appear when you click the back button on all websites viewed in IE9. Just this one. This is why I thought it was something that could be fixed at the backend of the site?

Hi Susan,

I can't say for sure which it is exactly in this case but this page has a pretty good description of some of the various reasons:
http://smallbusiness.chron.com/likely-cause-webpage-expired-27135.html

But as far as I know it isn't something we would be able to fix.

Regards,

Hi, wonder if you can help me fix a problem I have just noticed in IE9 - that when you click on the back button in IE9 you get the message "webpage has expired" rather than the previous page.

Can you suggest a fix for this?

Thanks,

Susan
