Hi!

Currently this is not possible. You can use a plugin like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-backgrounds-lite/ to set a custom background though.

Regards,
Peter

Or is there a hack to add code for both on the same page?

The portfolio contains its own gallery though. Is it possible to have a masonry gallery AND a background gallery?

Hi studio34,

Not automatically no. You'll need to set the background gallery option specific to the portfolio item.

Regards,

Devin

I am using the Flashlight theme and I am unable to get the background image for the designated portfolio page to carry over to the individual portfolio pages. The portfolio pages' backgrounds default to the theme default background. I do not see a way to reference the parent in the portfolio options. Is there a code work around?

Parent portfolio page: http://www.juliannadigiacomo.com/gallery/

Individual portfolio pages:
http://www.juliannadigiacomo.com/gallery/performance-photos/
http://www.juliannadigiacomo.com/gallery/headshots/
