Hi Jim,

I'm still not quite completely clear on everything you are looking to do but for the most part you can modify the portfolio layout in either:

+ includes>loop-portfolio-single.php - For the single view of a portfolio item

+ includes>loop-portfolio.php - For the overall view of the portfolio when assigned with the Portfolio section of the theme options

+ includes>helper-templates.php - Search for:

//check if the portfolio item was requested by an ajax call:

This is where the individual ajax portfolio item is built (portfolio loaded while still looking at the portfolio page)

Regards,

Devin

Hi Ismael,

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately that interface isn't capable of making the root layout changes that I require. I am trying to find where the titling is called on the portfolio page so that I can:

1) Make all text appear in one line
2) Move the navigation to below the image as well.

Again any help is much appreciated here.

Jim

Hi Jim,

Sorry for the delay in response. I think the mockup can be achieved by using a template builder. Try to check Kriesi's tutorial here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/angular/template-files/video-tutorials/. And find this demo: Abundance Theme Demo 6: Building improved layouts with the template builder. Hope this is helpful. :)

Regards,
Ismael

Hi there experts,

I am attaching a mockup of what exactly I have been trying to achieve with the portfolio mods. hopefully someone can assist me further with this.

Ok so actually I think I didn't explain what I wanted very well. You are referring to the navigation when the portfolio comes up on its own page, I need to space out portfolio title | portfolio metalist 1 | portfolio metalist 2 under the image rather than the three rows currently showing when it comes up on the main portfolio page only.

I'm afraid my styling is a bit rusty these days.

Hi there,

Thanks so much for the reply. So I have decided to just remove the text on the thumbs to eliminate that last issue as it is a visual site to begin with. Tell me though, which file do I find that code in? Also, if I want to put the nav controls below the image as well, I would be able to move div class='ajax-portfolio-response-wrapper' code to the above code insert point then?

Best,
Jim

1) You need to change this code:

 <?php previous_post_link('← %link '.__('(previous entry)').""); ?>

 <?php next_post_link(''.__('(next entry)').' %link →'); ?>

to something like:

 <?php previous_post_link('← %link '.__('(previous entry)').""); ?> | <?php next_post_link(''.__('(next entry)').' %link →'); ?>

2) Can you post a link to a page where this issue occurs. I couldn't reproduce it here: guyburchak.liquidhosting.net/paintings/

3) Afaik the thumbnails of the related entries do not support the ajax feature. However I'll mark this for Kriesi - maybe it's possible somehow.

Hi all, my issues tie in with the other Portfolio Format topic I think but I guess best to post a new thread?

I have managed to use the CSS to "bump" the text below the image in the portfolio. However, I need to put all text on the same line in a small font size separated by a | . Also, the nav controls that appear above need to be bumped down as they are overlapping the top underline bar. Finally, I want to have the thumbs underneath to have both text and image click to open above. No popup window needed here. Clear as mud right?

See what I mean at guyburchak.liquidhosting.net/paintings/

Thanks a ton in advance here.
Jim
