Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

.slide_container_static img, .slide_container_static iframe{
padding-top:10px;
}

You can change the 10px padding to something bigger if needed.

For the overaly, add the following to the same place you added the previous css:

.image_overlay_effect {
background: transparent;
}

If you have any other questions just make a new topic in the forums :)

hi, thank you for answer
It would be the best to use the portfolio as a group of thumbnails. But to complicated i think. I have 9 port. categories ( concert, wedding....) and each category including many port. items ( in case of wedding there is lot of couples ) with many images inside. But dont worry, i will try to solve it myself, if not i will ask you :)

And about gap. Look at http://www.kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=eunoia (clik image PHOTOS and u see white space between big colour and b&w image, how make this space bigger? )

Another think, how to disable hover effect (gloss.png) from all images or just make opacity '0' if mouse is out and instead ot that make this hover over effect for images in section 'Related Entries'
thank u a lot Tomsan

Hi tomsan,

The theme has to make some thing automated when working with large groups of images and getting them displayed in consistent portfolio style.

You can use the portfolio as a group of thumbnails to preview your images and then show the image full size when clicked so that it comes up in a lightbox as one alternative (this would be without putting the images on a blank canvas.

Alternatively, you can set the url for the image (with the canvas) to your individual image so that when clicked it showed the image directly. This can be done when you expand the image within the themes metabox where you would set captions. Its the dropdown options where you set the link options.

Images as small as 334x500 on the web will have issues since they are so small already. Ultimately if you want full control of your photos with almost any wordpress theme the best thing to do is not use any automated layout and only put your images into posts or pages where you can insert them into the visual editor. Otherwise, you have to rely on wordpress to crop and output thumbnail versions of them (or the theme/script to reproduce unmodified files which is very rare).

As for the gap, which gap do you mean? On the single portfolio page or somehwere else?

Regards,

Devin

I made canvas and put 334x500px image in there, but when using lightbox, it look really bad. Lot of white space and image in middle.

Another thing please, how to make bigger gap between full size images? thank you

Hi
I read about problem with images there http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-fullsize-image-height
To work with this theme is terrible because it seems that its totally useless for photographers. Its not possible put on the same page horizontal and vertikal images without ugly stretching? For example image size 880x587 and below another size 334x500 into fullsize portfolio page.
Is any chance to fix that? If i had known that i would not buy this theme.
