Hey, other than the custom menu manager the new version uses exactly the same variable and setting names, so if you already set them with a previous version if the theme the latest version should use these settings.

Importing the old menu manager data into the new wordpress 3 menu manager hoewever is not possible, sorry.

regards
Kriesi

I don't know of any easy way to export the old navigation items to the new WP 3.0 menu, unfortunately this will need to be done manually.

I don't have a copy of the older version of the theme, so can't answer the question about transferring the settings over. I've marked this topic for Kriesi's attention, hopefully he'll have an answer for you soon.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback.

We've tried to update the code to match the latest version however it looks like it uses a different set of variables or possibly ties them to the theme version, all the settings/custom content of the 1.3 aren't applied to the 2.0 at all.

Do we need to move the custom content and settings from the old theme to the new one. It also uses WP 3.0 menu for the theme now (instead of his custom Menu Manager)...

If you have any idea of how we can get the theme running smoothly without having to re enter data / settings etc that would be great.

Silly me. please guys forget about my first answer, I forgot that the feature was already added some time ago. You need to update to the latest version of Display and also upate to use wordpress3. It should work fine then ;D

Hey Emma,

The Portfolio Settings are limited to 9 portfolio's - when this function was first written it wasn't thought that people would need more than that.

Unfortunately I don't have a changelog of changes files, but I know the whole framework got an overhaul for the latest themes (CleanCut / Avisio) so everything in the /framework/ folder needs updating. I've marked this for Kriesi's attention so if he has a changelog he could give you a list of files.

For future reference, I strongly recommend using child themes (http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) when making customisations which are more than a few CSS changes.

Cheers,
James

I purchased the Display 1.3 theme a while back for a client and we've made a lot of changes to the theme, it seems we've hit a problem now though with the portfolio cap limit and my client would like to fix ASAP. Is there a way to update the theme without messing up all of our hard work??? If you could let me know specific files which need updating that would be great. Thanks!

Ran against a wall in making portfolios. Is seems there's a cap on the amount of portfolios that can be made. Is there a way of changing the amount of portfoilios that can be made?

Thanks
