Its possible to add it, if the right vertical column which currently lists the portfolio item properties is moved someplace else, but since the theme is responsive, it will have to be changed in all 4 media queries for mobiles , tablets , etc.. I just tried using a plugin to force a sidebar into the area but it didn't work as expected. If its integral to your business, I would suggest hiring a freelance developer.
