Hey,
this is a wordpress limitation. Afaik it's not possible to change this behaviour (at least not from the backend). You can try hacks like: http://shailan.com/781/how-to-change-post-thumbnail-crop-position-in-wordpress/ however it will affect all images.

Hi,

Great theme, but I have one issue which is causing major headaches:

When I upload an image to the portfolio, the thumbnails generated crop images vertically from the centre. So if you have a tall image, for example a website page screengrab, the image is cropped so the thumbnails display the middle section of the image. This really doesn't work for me as I want to display tall images, and I want the top of the image displayed, not the middle.

Is there a way to amend the theme so that thumbnail images aren't cropped from the middle, but from the top instead? So a cropped image of a tall web page screengrab will show the header, instead of showing the middle part of the image which doesn't look good.

Thanks.
