+1 on that.

Both 1 and 2 columns versions would be useful.

As a side note, there is an error in the dashboard for creating blog posts. The option to choose "Full-size" blog post appears twice, The second time it should say "Half-size".

I thought it would be extremely useful to have another option added to the "Main News Page" section of the admin area. I am referring to the way entries are displayed on the homepage. This alternative entries option would also be useful when browsing news in a certain category or after performing a search. (Currently it's a two column layout with boxes.)

Currently users only have the option to choose from the following:

1. Full sized entries with preview picture
2. Half sized entries with preview picture
3. Half sized entries without preview picture

What I am proposing is to add a fourth option where there is a photo thumbnail displayed to the left or right of the post. For an example, see http://kmedeiros.com/shoutbox-snapshot.gif

The reason I am proposing this is because there is no middle ground between the full-sized entries and no entries at all. If you choose the full-size entry layout with an image, you're stuck with the large rectangular photo. If you choose the half-sized entry layout, you're stuck with the short boxes with a thumbnail but you don't have the option to have a stacked layout.

Thank you for your consideration!
